Travel with us
Work, teach, learn and play alongside students and communities, building relationships and changing lives.
Every year Global Village Connect offers a variety of community outreach trips. All are welcome. We are looking for people with many different skill sets who want to help!
On every trip we spend time volunteering — getting to know families and students in our partner communities, immersing ourselves in their culture and helping them with projects to improve their livelihood — and time touring. Many of the trips include add-on adventures with plenty of personal time to enjoy remarkable surroundings.

Travel with us in November 2019 to meet the Jewish Community in Uganda!
Our Ugandan Give a goat and Sustainable organic farming projects are flourishing. We delivered over 50 goats to families in the Buppala community, helped with the school’s organic farm and participated in a photo/video project with school children. |
Our latest trip to South Africa was designed especially for teens — with projects and sightseeing in Cape Town, the Kruger area and Hermanus. We joined Australian volunteers and local youth to build colorful and productive keyhole-shaped gardens in a schoolyard, and worked alongside local coaches advancing sports, physical education, health and nutrition.

In Mae Salong, a small village in the northern mountains, we've been working with a community of second generation immigrants who are stateless. With no legal means to work, we've been helping the village develop projects to generate income. We will also visit the Long Toey community. We'll take a look at what it's like to be ostracized because you live in an impoverished urban community and talk with community members. Adventure highlights include visiting an elephant sanctuary, hot springs, hiking and learning to cook Thai food.
