Youth Board
GVC is looking for high school students! The Youth Board is an opportunity for high schoolers to spread the mission of Global Village and be leaders in their community. Join us in giving a kid an opportunity to go to school and help provide some much needed nutrition.
You can help us with programs that grow farms so students can eat lunch, and buy goats so they can sell the offspring and milk for school fees. Other programs include re-usable pad kits which help girls stay in school, and our clean water program helps build a latrine or water well so kids can stay healthy.
As part of the board, students will be on subcommittees that best fit their interests. Subcommittee examples include marketing/communications, writing and curriculum, cultural immersion, and more. Students will work on projects for their subcommittee and attend monthly meetings virtually.
This is an amazing opportunity for students to develop skills of leadership, communication, and collaboration while promoting diversity and global awareness, not to mention helping provide a kid education and nutrition. The board will look great on college applications, and be an outlet for students to connect virtually.
