We Need Your Help
Buyanga Primary School Disaster Relief

A huge storm came through and destroyed parts of Buyanga school, including the dorms, 4 classrooms, the headmaster’s office and the food that was in storage. The destroyed classrooms do not have roofs, all the books were destroyed, and school cannot be taught in those grades at all. A few of the boarding girls and the teacher that stays with them as well as Charles the headmaster, were injured from flying bricks but they will be okay. They have been treated and released from the hospital. The good news is the crops and goat farm survived.
Unfortunately, we will need to rebuild as soon as possible. All of the boarding students who stay at school come from unsafe and untenable home situations. We are looking to build back as soon as possible and replace the food that was destroyed. Food and dorms are the priority. We have a list of costs below.

Buyanga Primary School is a lifeline for many of these students. It is their home and they are grateful to stay there and to be able to learn, which is not a given for any of these kids. We are the only organization helping the school and want to make sure these kids have a future.
So far we have raised $3850, We MUST raise $7500 as soon as possible.

Emergency Food Relief

Inflation is surging around the world and it's having a devastating impact on the people of rural Uganda.
As a result, many people are unable to afford food. In Northern Uganda many farms are struggling due to a severe drought. Crops are failing and people are hungry, many families eating only 1 meal per day. In areas like Apac, some of our business training students are unable to put money back into their businesses because money is needed now to feed their families.
The average family in Uganda has 5 people.
For $60 you can help a family survive for one month by providing them rice and beans.
