Pads for Girls Program
Days For Girls, located in Namutumba, makes "menstrual kits” and educates young women on female reproductive health. GVC raises funds to provide these kits to older girls at Tikkun Olam Primary School and to every young woman at Semei Kakungulu School. Funds will be collected by Global Village Connect and given directly to Days For Girls. The pads last for 2 years. Each costs approximately $18.
Why is this Important?
Young women often drop out of school when they are menstruating as they do not have the necessary hygiene products. Days for Girls is changing the status quo, through quality menstrual care solutions, health education, and income-generation opportunities.

Our goal is to raise $4,000 to provide kits for every young woman at our 2 schools. Thank you for helping to educate young women and helping them to stay in school. As we have learned, educating women is the best way to ensure that the next generation will be successful. Thank you for your support! Maggie Zlotowski, RN, CNM School Nurse in Redding, CA |
