Global Village Connect is proud to take part in GivingTuesday, a global day of generosity that will take place on December 1, 2020
GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity—to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and heal. 2020 has brought great uncertainty in Global Village partner communities. There are a number of families struggling for survival, with parents unable to provide meals to their families right now.
The GVC Impact
By making a general donation, your contribution will support Emergency Food Relief Funding, Sustainable Organic Farming and Irrigation Systems, School Lunch and our Give a Goat program.
In two months alone, we were able to feed over 4000 people in Spring 2020. Donations to Emergency Food Relief Funding provide families food and essentials during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Buyanga Primary School Farm Project grows food to feed vulnerable children lunch at a rural school in eastern Uganda. We’re now partnering with Buyanga Primary School to feed 1000 students lunch each and every school day!
The Give a Goat program provides a source of income for kids who have lost their parents or who are in very difficult living situations. Each $135 donated purchases a fertile milk goat for a child or family in need. The program also funds the construction of goat shelters, which safely house goats for $35.
