Throughout Uganda, the prospects for children born in a rural village are bleak. They are likely to remain poor their whole lives. This is the case for the children who live in the small Jewish village of K'far Rishon Namutumba in eastern Uganda.
For these children, the surest way out of poverty is education. But school isn't free in Uganda. You can make a vital difference in these children's lives by contributing to their education at the Tikkun Olam Primary School, an excellent school in eastern Uganda.
A note from Ellen:
It takes an American village to help raise an African village. Hope for the village of K'far Rishon Namutumba rests in the future of their children. We can nurture that hope by helping these children receive a quality education at the Tikkun Olam Primary School.

School Beginnings
Tikkun Olam was founded by Yoash Mayende in 2015 to foster opportunities for Jewish students to learn academics and participate in their Jewish heritage. Though Student absenteeism in Uganda is high and one in three children in primary school does not attend school every day, Tikkun Olam Primary School has has a good attendence rate and is ranked 3rd in the district.
